I do not own an overlock machine, but I still wanted to be able to sew with jersey. This is my-full-of-mistakes-yet-very-wearable first attempt. Jersey acts a lot like some of my friends: you can’t control them, can’t figure out what they are going to do next, but everything, at the end turns pretty well.
Without an overlock, and if you’re a control freak, this project is not for you. But it only took 2 hours, produced a garment that I will certainly use a lot.
I would’nt show this one inside out, even under torture, next will be better.
I adapted a Burda pattern for a silk shirt in the november issue of the magazine. (112-113)
VERY strechy jersey.
