Battle Creek, Un...
This project was beyond my skills to adapt. Somethings didn’t come out right and so I just winged them to make it work.
Major Changes to the original include:
1. Shortening the waistband (I’m rather short and short waisted)
2. Changed the back slit to a vent
3. Fully lined the skirt
4. Eliminated the back placket and buttons on the bodice and installed a zipper the full length
I used the tutorials a A Fashionable Stitch to walk me through the vent and lining techniques:
The skirt is a denim weight silk suiting and lined with a silk. The top is cut from kimono crepe silk —only 13.5 inches wide.
