The Jane Austen dress

Added Aug 22, 2013

by gouacherocks

Nantes, France

Made as a costume for a party, the dress is based on a evening gown pattern in Burda 12/2007. I remove a lot of frilly pieces to simplify the process and make the dress looks Jane Austen-ish.

I guess any of Austen’s heroines would be jealous:-) Very stylish indeed.

Oh, I love this! I’ve been wanting to make a Jane Austen dress for ages. You’ve totally inspired me! I need to finally make an Austen dress of my own :)
