I love this dress, its the perfect throw on and walk out of the house choice for dressy but not formal occasions. I made this to wear on my partner’s last birthday. He liked it. It was bit fiddly because I made it fully lined instead of using facings as the pattern instructions suggested. Also, this was my first time putting an invisible zipper into anything so I hand sewed the lining over the zipper tape using prick stitches.
$5 ‘Christmas’ cotton fabric from Spotlight (back when I used to buy fabric there)
Vogue 8511 (AA)
Fine white cotton voile for the lining
Invisible zipper foot (Brother)
Brother NS-20 sewing machine
Plan a weekend getaway in these sweater dresses and furry accessories.
