This is a pattern from Patrones Magazine, Extra Grandes Creaciones n. 16. I bought a boucl and wanted to make a Chanel jacket, but I chickened out, because of the hard work that means and also because I wanted a jacket that doesn´t make you older, which is something a Chanel tends to do.
I´m quite happy with the result and I find it quite wearable.

Boucl, interfacing and lining. Three big snaps for the front and two smaller for the patch pockets.

Great jacket and cool styling with the shorts. And wow, I think I have to visit TARIFA soon (its on my list since a long time).

I love it! It’s very youthful. I agree that Chanel type jackets look oldish. This is a great way to use your boucle.

Merche, this jacket is lovely and it doesn’t matter which style you sew up, you always look great in your creations. I am about to make a Chanel type jacket, #109, 3/2012 and I am not doing all the quilting etc on this first one as I am not sure if I will like the style on me when completed. If it turns out really well, then the next jacket will get all the Chanel treatment!!!

I´ll have to have a look at that pattern, somehow I missed it! Let me know if you start with the real Chanel stuff and we can do a sewalong, ;)

That would be fun. It seems silly to be sewing a woollen jacket in Spring here in Brisbane but I like the idea of a challenge. I have made several quilted jackets in the past but not very sophisticated as compared to a Chanel jacket. I like to do handwork while watching TV so quilting a jacket by hand shouldn’t be too hard.
