I made this unitard (which I’d rather call a maillot) from the same self-drafted pattern I used for my No Windows Dress. I’m calling her the Bardot, because it reminds me of something swank and 60’s on holiday in St. Tropez.
I sewed a bandeau bra, with cups, into the maillot, so no bra needed.
The skirt is a version of my Tough Love in the City Skirt.

The top is simply divine! You couldn’t have lined-up those stripes any better in my opinion. I can see you standing on a sailboat in this outfit ! GREAT JOB !!!

You make me almost want a unitard (maillot). This reminds me of Malibu Barbie for some reason.

Thanks! I think Malibu Barbie isn’t a bad reference at all! It would really look good in a white Malibu Barbie convertible:)

I too love this! I might be a bit top heavy though to pull off not using a bra. Beautiful! Love the low back!

I totally hear you on the busty issue. I used to be a much bigger cup size and shied away from these sorts of shirts. But I do think if you found cups that are big enough for the inside bandeau, and made sure the bandea was nice and snug, it might just work…

love it!!!! i want to attempt one—it would be cute with all sorts of things—shorts, jeans, capris, skirts, etc.
