This piece is constructed from lovely vintage floral cotton. The skirt is a quirky bubble shape with pleat-style gathers all the way around the waist. The skirt features an inner lining which is attached at the hem in pleats, and works to give the skirt its bubble shape. The close-set suspenders come out from the wide waist band to extend over each shoulder, and work to situate the waist band just at the true waist. This entire piece is lined with lovely coral cotton.

I have to confess I’ve never really liked bubble hems, but you’ve changed my mind with this one. Its beautiful and feminine and the fabric is glorious.
