Vintage Vogue Americana 2264 Donald Brooks high-fitted A-line sleeveless dress with U-shaped neckline and self-banding.

Blood red French silk twill underlined with silk habutai and lined with matching silk charmeuse.

    This is so lovely, and comfortably classy. I wish we had a touch screen where we could actually touch things – the fabrics sound so lush! Beautiful colour.

    Very nice. Love the color. Don’t think I have ever seen French silk twill. Is it nice to work with and care for?

      Thanks! It’s from the house of Perrin & Fils near Lyon. It is a lovely fabric to work with but one has to watch out for water stains when ironing.
