Description

I bought a skirt with beautiful blue fabric at a yard sale for a dollar a few years ago. The skirt was always too big and just sat in my drawer. A couple weeks ago I decided to give the skirt new life! I used the M6599 pattern for the bodice and then drafted my own pattern for the skirt. It was my first project with sleeves, and I was pleasantly surprised with the result.

I wore this dress to my one of my best friend’s 17th birthday parties. It was a beautiful night. I had a fun time sewing the dress, and I love the way it turned out!
