I started this project in May and wasn’t able to finish it because I had no time (if I ever wanted to sleep, that is)…until now! It was my first experience with self-made bias tape and even though working with the bias tape did present some difficulties, I’m really pleased with the results. I want to make a bunch more in different prints and also try this in silk and/or satin, since I’ve never worked with those materials and I think this pattern would be a great intro to working with them. I included a photo of the top before it was all finished because it shows the details and the color better than the photos of it finished. Hope you like it!

I agree with the others – this looks fabulous on you. The fabric is very pretty. If you want to sew your next one in silk, I recommend checking out S.R. Harris. They are located in Brooklyn Park, but have the best silk prices in the Twin Cities.
