Glad to see these – they are gorgeous, although I’m partial to the red dress. I’ve had a hard time with my Elisalex (so much so that I put it aside to work on in the spring when I had the motivation of being able to wear it soon). The skirt of the dress just doesn’t really work on me, but I have some ideas of how to fix it.

Thank-you poldapop . I have to admit that I had a few fitting issues with the top of the Elisalex dress. I bought a pattern fitting book by Nancy Zieman (I think that is who it is) and followed her tips, and I got the fit I wanted. I am away at the moment from home but when I return, I will email the details to you. The piping also helped stop any gaping of the back neck line. I also had to run in the sides of the skirt and have taken in more on the blue and white dress since. I hope you can master it and I am sure you will, as it is a lovely bodice.

Thank-you admiralsara. If you intend to make either of these patterns, The Elisalex or the Anna, I highly recommend that you trace the pattern of the bodice to your measurements and then make a muslin of each bodice to get the right fit.

Indeed, a girl can’t have too many dresses – you are doing a fantastic job! Congratulations! They all look fantastic but I think my favourite dress is the blue & white one – does one have to have a favourite? I love them all!. You are set for the summer parties – enjoy!

Thanks so much Mary. I am getting like you, producing a pattern several times over and then doing one post. I didn’t have time to do all 4 separately.

Thanks Kihli. The piping gives the edges lots of stability besides being decorative. I love piping.

Thanks Ellen for your lovely comment. The last dress is going to be the most useful for everyday use as it is very cool cotton. The 2 Elisalex dresses will be for going out and when I need to look respectable!! The first dress was a trial run of the pattern and I don’t think I will wear it much as the fabric is hot to wear.

I can imagine that you will look beautiful in all the dresses – and it’s nice to have a new for every occation :) You are lucky to have nice and warm weather – I’m already longing back to Tenerife.. It’s getting cold here now… brrrr..
