Description

Dress is based on the pattern from 08/2013, model 116. The fabric is a bit heavy cotton. I did quite a few alternations to the orginal pattern: pleats are turnded into optosit direction, top, back and front peace is done from one peace, not two as suggested, and of couse, pockets. I love them, and now, when I learned how to do them, I try to do them on every garment I do. And yes, I left front darts open (is this even the right word, I dont have a clue….hmmm…). The zipper is not as good as it could be… I simply dont know how to do it… or my invisible zipper foot is not really ok…
On the end of the day, I like my new dress :)

Awww panel print fabric is the most interesting to work with! Lovely end of summer dress! But if you wear warm tights and a cardigan this dress can remind of you warm summer days even in winter :)

I love your dress. I’ve also been looking for the same type of fabric. May I ask you were you got it from and if they have an online store. I do see you’re in a different country so it would be pretty hard to get, but any pointers would help. I REALLY love your dress. That same dress in the same pattern would also work really well with a boat neck cut, it would give you a mod flare or a madmen flare.

Hi Maggie, you are absolutely right about the boat neck. The pattern is really nice and I plan to use it again, and I might use your idea :). Re. the fabric, I bought it on my trip to Serbia. I tried to find out if they have any on-line possibility, and unfortunately, they dont….
