I designed this dress myself, based on a few vintage images from the 60’s I studied. The bodice is a princess line cut, with a boat neck and a deep v in the back. The skirt is self drafted A line, with no darts and side seam pockets. Underlined with cotton voile, has a slit in the back. I find that drafting a pattern is easy and satisfying , and I love manipulating the basic patterns I have into new shapes. How about you? Do you prefer working with the ready made patterns and fitting it to your body or playing with a slopper?
