The next part of my Elizabethan Project is complete, the kirtle. Made using a commercial pattern, it is the underpart of the dress. Smock, sleeves and top gown still to go; but it’s starting to look like something now.
More on the project can be seen at http://makesmemine.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/elizabethan-kirtle.html
Orange damask and black cotton with coutil and cotton drill linings.
