I bought this most beautifully soft modal from Tessuti in Sydney. Because it’s so soft I just draped it for fun around Ilse-Jane, my dressmaker’s dummy. Then I decided I really liked how it looked, so decided to make it! It’s very simple, the four corners are just joined at the back, then sewed along the seams.
70cm x 150cm modal (or other) jersey

It’s a lovely colour, isn’t it? And it’s really nice to wear – feels a bit like a light blanket sitting on your shoulders.
