The Doily blouse

Added May 8, 2010

by sewella

South Of Eden, M...

A blouse I made for my daughter the same day I made this one

Wasn’t embellished until yesterday when I decided to decorate it with a vintage doily I had in my stash.
The tights were recycled into knee-length socks.

Garment Type
Casual, Romantic, Vintage
Chiffon, Cotton

The doily really makes it – I love red and white together. Those socks ROCK! The other project (white lacy top) is also really lovely – and once again – your daughter is gorgeous!

Th doily really completes it, almost thought it was screen printed plus those recycled socks are incredible.

Hi, the top looks fab! I was just wondering if you have ever thought about dying the doilys? My mum has and they looked great!

Thank you Masha! The pattern is really great! As a matter of fact I used this patter (of course elongated) to make this dress
