This is my youngest pup. He’s a long haired mini Dachshund. I had fabric left over from a marc Jacobs fabric, from which I made a skirt, and decided to make Dylan a brand new coat for the fall since he didn’t have a decent winter/fall coat. It took me about 3 hours to make and it came out splendidly well. I had to cut the sleeves in half since his little arms are only 3 inches long.
This pose made me laugh since it looks like he’ll be on the next cover of GQ, it’s adorable.

Iv never bought a designer fabric , do you think they are much better quality? . I can imagine it would make a great skirt .

it depends, some designer fabrics are really nice but others are just down right ugly. I’ve bought many gorgeous fabrics which were none designer quality and looked and felt great.

Thanks, Jackieo, yes, the fabric is lovely, I made a nice skirt out of it for myself out of only 3/4 of a yard, I’ll post it up soon. It’s a marc jacobs fabric, it’s a viscose/wool blend but because it was so beautiful I got it.

Do you make your own patterns? My sister has 3 doxies and would love to find some patterns for coats for them.
