My Carl (JJ) blouse, last post of the year. I loved this pattern, and will definitely be sewing up more versions in the near future, maybe with ruffles, probably not.
This was made with a vintage plaid cotton I snagged from my mom. The weave was off a little toward one selvedge, and there was just enough for the shirt. I was indecisive about the ruffles, and found out there wouldn’t be enough yardage for them anyway (I’m kind of glad). I did a slight variation on the armband by making a loop instead of buttonhole. So happy that ease was included in the pattern!
I’m pleased as punch with it, and if you’d like to see more photos and read more process, please click over to my blog
