Description

Ok. This is the update for The Choker. I couldn’t get the grape juice out of the sleeves. I went to the fabric shop to get a recommended fabric dye. One of the workers recommended to use Grandma’s Secret Spot Remover because she said it removed Curry from her blouse – no luck!
Now, I went to WM and bought a pack of Rit Dye, Purple. I wanted a dark and vibrant purple. I followed the directions that was for a 1 lb of fabric. Of course the top is NOT 1 lb, so I thought I would most definately have a deep purple. NOT! I got this.
The last two pictures are 1. What it’s spposed to look like. 2. What it ended up looking like…the first time.
PS I did the zig zag around the whole collar and it stayed under. Yay. I don’t know if I am going to keep the top or let it be my sister’s B-day gift. She likes any shade of purple…..maybe that was meant to be.
Oh yeah, overlook the bad hair day.

it still looks very nice! Rit dye works best on natural fibers like cotton, so if you top was made from a synthetic/polyester fiber it wasn’t going to dye as dark. keep it for a little while, the color might grow on you!
