Burda Style For people who sew
Description
This is a cape made from a 1949 Simplicity pattern. It has welt pockets, armholes to use the pockets and a full lining in light pink Bemberg. The wool is beige with a nice texture, from Mood. I was inspired by the cape in the movie Atonement. This project forced me to learn to do welt pockets, so it improved my sewing skills. It took me about 3 years to finally finish this, so lots more celebratory pictures and info at my blog: mollysews
