I have been obsessing over capes for some time so it was time to get to work. Also making a button in lining for actual cold weather. I live in Minnesota after all…. Photo now uploaded – it’s button in and works very well – super pleased with how it turned out. Also gives the cape a lot more body.

what a nice cape! would be nice if you posted more photos or pattern :-) i made a similar one from a pattern from burda 1968 but as i’m not tall, it is too long; yours fit very well, i like it!

That’s a fantastic design…would you be willing to share the pattern and/or make a how-to. I’ve been wanting to make one too.
More pictures too!

very smart looking cape, I’ve been on the same track too! Please post when you make the lining portion, I have the same concerns as I live next door in WI. Great job!

I love this cape. I have been wanting to make it for a while in houndstooth pattern. Good job.
