Step 1 Make Modifications
I made the following modifications to the original pattern found here
Piece A: 15 1/2″ × 13 1/2" (Cut 1-Red)
Piece B: Not used
Piece C: 4 1/2″ × 13 1/2" (Cut 1-Blue)
Iron white fabric to Heat N’ Bond Heavy Interfacing. Cut out a total of 5 2" stars for each placemat.
After stitching a red accent line on the blue piece I added the stars and embellished with some red buttons. (Try red beads or additional red stitching for a more classic look.)
