I’ve been on a quest for Pants that Aren’t Jeans (possibly even Grown-Up Pants).
So I tried out Burdastyle’s Ellen pants in a lovely wool, because, well, I just can’t resist those free patterns. I cut a size 34, which is great through the legs and hips, but should’ve graded up to a 36 at the waistband. I lengthened by 3cm (I have really long legs) but probably didn’t need to, although the extra length let me make a nice wide hem even at heels-wearing length.
Because the wool was a bit scratchy, I lined both front and back to the knee. They’re deliciously warm and silky inside!
Details of fit and construction on my blog
pinstripe grey wool; Kasha fleece-backed lining. Deliciously warm.
