The BurdaStyle Bag is a little bit bohemian, a little rock ‘n’ roll, and the design is utilitarian, with outside pockets for a phone or keys. We used black tassels on the outside of our tan microsuede bag to add contrast and personality. For a different look, try making this bag in a Pendleton wool print or include a surprising lining. One of five master patterns found in The BurdaStyle Sewing Handbook.
3/4 yards (69 cm.) of 55" wide self (we chose microsuede); 1/2 yard (46 cm.) 55" wide lining; 28" (71 cm.) of 3/4" (2 cm.) elastic band; 1 3/4 yards (1.6 m.) cording (we used 1/4" cording in diameter— optional)

Funky, I’d love to see this in a leather with lots of hardware, I think it could look quite expensive (how’s that for a Nina reference? haha)
