I’m really in love with full-skirts this year, and I needed a sundress. This is Vogue 8577, which has really awesome and enormous pockets. This fabric is pretty, but it wrinkles like mad – if I made it again I might try underlining instead of the full lining the pattern calls for. I made the shorter length, and found a great new way to do circular hems – I serged the edge, without cutting, and then folded up on the serging line twice – so much easier than the other way I did it before, which involved folding, basting, cutting, and usually burning my fingers. My blog post on the dress is here
A blue linen-look cotton from fabric.com (sold out now.) Black bemberg rayon lining.
