Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I’m really in love with full-skirts this year, and I needed a sundress. This is Vogue 8577, which has really awesome and enormous pockets. This fabric is pretty, but it wrinkles like mad – if I made it again I might try underlining instead of the full lining the pattern calls for. I made the shorter length, and found a great new way to do circular hems – I serged the edge, without cutting, and then folded up on the serging line twice – so much easier than the other way I did it before, which involved folding, basting, cutting, and usually burning my fingers. This is a great dress! I’ve had my eye on this pattern for a while but thought it might look too conservative made up. Definately not! It has a 50’s feel to it the way you have done it. Thanks for posting this.

Don’t know if i can wear this awesome dress because i’m the classic Puertorican (pear shaped body)But anyway love the dress, the color and i can modify the skirt to suit my body type.Great work,Perfect!

I used a fabric covered button kit, so they are the same fabric as the dress. It was a pain, but worth it!
