Fabric: acrylic & lycra double knit

Original inspiration: Dibs and the Machine’s version of this dress
This is a wonderful pattern and I highly recommend it. It comes together easily and the result looks professional and expensive. Double-knit is one of the easiest fabrics I’ve ever worked with, and I’m looking forward to experimenting more with it. That being said, I would probably not go for acrylic double knit for a dress, as it really doesn’t breathe well. I use to have a dress in acrylic double knit and it was fine — actually quite warm — but I would recommend against it for a dress.
