this is wonderful! i will reread your above notes on how to make this. (presently braindead/kids & dogs asleep on me) it’s so practical and lovely.

I love this bag! The fabric is gorgeous and such a cool functional design.

OK I’ve been looking at it for quite some time now but I can’t seem to find outwhat your ‘system’ is for making this strap thing work. Would you mind to share?

(the fabric is gorgeous by the way. As is the tote, but I figured you might’ve got that from the comment that I’ve been looking at it for so long).

There is no witchcraft involved. It’s just hard to see because I used black thread on black belt band.
At the front the strap ends are secured in the lower part (behind the black panel) and just hold in place by the four tabs.
At the back I secured the straps in the upper part (about 5cm down from the zipper). Therefor I sewed a square with a cross inside on each strap (well, it’s just one strap that forms a bow…but I hope you know what I mean…there are two spots in the upper part of the bag, where the strap is sewn to the bag). Then there are two shorter straps secured between the bottom of the bag and the lower edge. Finally the two shorter straps and the two ends of the upper strap are connected by two clasps (so you can adjust the length).
Feel free to ask further questions if there is still something you don’t understand.
