Description

I whipped up a quick pencil skirt with some lovely bright pink cotton eyelet that I got in Thailand last summer. I spent a bit of time lining up the scalloped hem, and I’m so pleased with the result!

The pattern used is Burda 6889 – I would highly recommend it

I have seen a RTW skirt with a scalloped hem and have been searching for a fabric to make something similar. Your skirt looks fab and the matching is perfect!

I got this fabric in Thailand I’m afraid. But you could try making your own scallops?

Wow – LOVE the fabric. Did it already have a scalloped edge?

Hi – thanks! Yes, the fabric is an intricate eyelet cotton that had that lovely scallop on both selvedges. When I saw it I knew I had to make it into a skirt!
