Thai invasion

Utrecht, Netherl...

this is no. 6 of my travel project and the second from Thailand. I was so happy with my first Thai dress that I was a bit anxious to start a project with the second bit of fabric. But then I realized I’ve always wanted to make a short version of the dots invasion dress, and that this fabric was going to be perfect for it. The fabric was (just like the other Thai piece) two toned, so I could make the contrast part in the top, unfortunately it wasn’t enough, so only the waistband is completely different. I lowered the decollete a bit and ruffled the entire bust piece instead of only the top part.

summer here I come :)

Hi Heleen, I really like your variation, and I love the alterations you did on the pattern. Thanks for posting the pictures here, it’s always great to see other people use your patterns.

totally gorgeous, those colours look stunning on you! As the others said, perfect fit and well done on the zipper! I hate them too even after 24 years of sewing!

thanks! The fit worked out very well this time :) I always tend to make thinks too big, just in case. So in the end I usually have to size down… but hey, thats easier than adding fabric :)

thanks! that is such a nice compliment! I always struggle with the zipper, I used to only make stuff out of jersey, so I didn’t need a zipper :)
