This year I again submitted a design into the Tessuti Awards. Theme was Spots and Stripes, and we were required to use Tessuti purchased fabrics. I chose a blue with white spot, and red and white candy stripe fabric. Both fabrics have a small amount of stretch in them. The bodice is boned, and a huge amount of fabric was used to create the billowing of the skirt component.
Voting has closed now, and I was not a finalist, but I’m still really happy with the outcome of both my design idea and the finished product. Onwards and upwards!
