This costume was made for my son, NathanL, for Halloween. It is a cartoon character from Team Fortress 2. I have included a picture of the cartoon character above so you can see what I had to mimic. The only piece I made was the jacket and the rest was purchased at an surplus store. The red fabric is a twill I purchased from JoAnn’s. I used snaps for the front closure and buttons on the shoulder tabs. A basic jacket pattern was used to help draft a new altered pattern to match the character. I was really not happy with the collar’s end result as it seemed to tall, but he seemed to be happy with the overall look. Also, the big gun was made by my son and husband from PVC pipe, metal shop light shade and tape guns taken apart for handle and site, with everything painted in a mat black spray paint.
Red Twill fabric for outside of jacket, red lining fabric for lining, red thread, 4-large sew in snaps, 2-black buttons, heavy interfacing for collar

I love how the hat covers his eyes too cute. I always have issues with my sleeves fighting me. I also love that it looks like the pic of the cartoon.
