I made the tikva trench in a lovely teal fabric I bought when I went fabric shopping in China, (whilst on holiday in Hong Kong). I wanted to make a fun, feminine trenchcoat with this material, given the pretty colour & I think that the Tikva design fits that bill pretty well.
I made a few alterations as I only had 3.15m (the pattern calls for 3.75m). I took 4 inches off the length, removed the back vent & ignored a few rules of grain. I also cut the pockets out of the lining fabric instead of trenchcoat fabric.

Fabulous! BUT: I think you should only wear this with a dress or skirt.
