Using 6723 New Look Pattern. I brought the hem up quite a bit, partly because I’m 5’4, but partly to keep it a little more modern. I made the bag too, but used the dress material as the lining, and a different material for the outside. Plus, added a pin from my grandmother’s jewelry stash.

Brocade polyester in a blue/teal. Some kind of black stretch for the lining. Rhinestone buckle. $1 bin shiny material for the bag – sorry, I don’t know my fabrics very well!

Oh I love this one too. I’m the same height as you and I am always battling whether to keep a vintage length or not. But I agree with shortening to put a modern twist and it looks fabulous on you.:-)
