Using 6723 New Look Pattern. I brought the hem up quite a bit, partly because I’m 5’4, but partly to keep it a little more modern. I made the bag too, but used the dress material as the lining, and a different material for the outside. Plus, added a pin from my grandmother’s jewelry stash.

Brocade polyester in a blue/teal. Some kind of black stretch for the lining. Rhinestone buckle. $1 bin shiny material for the bag - sorry, I don't know my fabrics very well!

Oh I love this one too. I’m the same height as you and I am always battling whether to keep a vintage length or not. But I agree with shortening to put a modern twist and it looks fabulous on you.:-)

This is a very pretty dress and the fabric is gorgeous. The diamante buckle is so lovely and really finishes your dress.

Thanks! Yes, it’s the color that drew me to the fabric. Ok, I just finished switching out the photos…I didn’t realize you needed landscape views only! Luckily we took about a bazillion pictures. Some are quite cheeky…
