Wedding dress made from duchess satin, edged with corded lace and seed pearls. Fully lined matching jacket with corded lace edging. Machine-edged veil. Decorated shoes.

Dress & Jacket: Ivory duchess satin, Ivory organza (bodice stabilizer), Ivory lining, Ivory corded lace, Seed Pearls, Covered buttons & loops. Veil: Ivory duchess satin, Ivory bridal veiling, Comb. Bought shoes, decorated with: Ivory ribbon, Ivory corded lace. Petticoat: White net, White cotton.

This dress was a joint effort by my mother and myself. I could not have done it alone, and in any case, she taught me to sew in the first place, so it’s really all down to my mum!
Thanks also go to my father and my mother’s friends for artistic direction and advice.
Finally, to my wonderful husband who patiently sat downstairs for 5 months while we made it!
