I made this dress to wear to afternoon tea on my birthday at a posh hotel downtown. It’s actually the first mock-up of a dress I’m wearing to a wedding, so it’s not perfect.
Sorry about the blurry pictures, I may upload some better ones at a later date.
2.5 yards woven houndstooth fabric, 1 black 1" zipper, fusing optional
Novice
Drafted the bodice by heavily modifying the “Coffee Date Dress” (lower neckline, change to princess seam, etc.) bodice and a following a basic dirndl skirt pattern.

kaitui_kiwi & Constance_K> it is a black slip with lace edging that is peeking through…not part of the dress, but hey it worked :)

Love it! I’m wondering about the same as Kiwi? Either way, it sort of ties it together, in a very cute way.

I adore this design! The changes to “Coffee Date Dress” are very creative! It actually looks vintage with a modern flair. Well done!

I love the lace detail too, is that part of the dress or an undergarment? Great idea anyway, well done :)
