Description

Twirly dress I whipped up for a friend’s birthday dinner. I used a wool blend fabric, fully lined it, and installed an invisible zipper in the center back.

    Gorgeous! This is EXACTLY the dress that I’ve been trying to find a pattern for. I was planning on finding a similar bodice pattern and then just substituting a circle skirt. Do you happen to have the pattern for this dress for sale?

      Thanks Ladytap! At the moment, I don’t have this exact pattern for sale. My patterns will be released very very soon though. I’ll keep everyone updated here and on my blog when they come out. Thanks so much and have a good one!

    that just looks perfect! I often use jersey so i never hem those circle skirts I make. How would you do that with cotton or any other fabric that frays? can you recommend a tutorial on that sort of thing?

      Oh thanks Medea! Using jersey is a great idea. I have to try it. Plus, I love how comfy jersey feels on the body.

      Thanks so much Francini! Believe me it was really easy to sew. The part that took the longest was the pattern-making and the hemming part. I learned that hemming a full circle skirt takes quite some time.

      Thanks Skristi! I wanted to play down the very girly silhouette of this dress with the leather jacket. I rarely wear “fancy” dresses, but my friend’s dinner was in a pretty fancy place.
