This is part one of my 16 year old daughters Design Project for her final year at school. She didn’t trust herself to be as necessarily anal as the project required, so asked me to do it. It is the base for her TARDIS dress (corset and full ball skirt). So, she can tick this off the list now.
I have included before, between, and after photos for you.
As the glitter was light, we needed two coats to cover all the black. It helps with the density. The piece between the upper and sole was wood and needed sprucing up, so I used a metalic sparpie. Suprisingly it went on like paint. It worked better than i’d expected.
As with my previous project upload (Glitter Stilettos), I would like to thank themisslinds for the original project, photos and instructions (Diy-to-try – Glitter Shoes), and emilypeace for the lateral thinking. I wouldn’t have known how to get started without you.
Suede boots, sharpie pen in metalic silver, masking tape, GLITTER (3 different types, blended), multi-purpose glue, spray varnish, patience, drying time.
