This is my first ever project using a pattern! I haven’t sewn in years and years, and I just got a sewing machine for my birthday and had to make a Tara top after seeing the Frock by Friday tutorial on Grosgrain Fabulous. I am not sure exactly what kind of fabric I used, but it was kind of too stiff for the sleeves to flutter. They stuck straight out and looked a little funny, so I gathered them into little ruffly cap sleeves. Once I hemmed it, I had the same problem with the sides sticking straight out, so I ran seams down either side and cut off the extra, making it a bit more fitted. All in all, I am super happy with it!
