Of course as tangerine is 2012 colour I could not help with new fashionable accessories…
No. I am not a tangerine person. A pale carrot one, maybe…
As you see, almost ordinary circle scarfes from old good-quality jumpers. The tangerine one was a man XL, so I can wrap twice, the pale blue one was a woman S, so I doubled it in grey to make it warmer also as an hood.
To justify my posting of such simple things, a tip: when you cut the lower part of a jumper to make your scarf, you can hard “wrong” wash the rest of it to get it felted and get obviously-perfectly-matching-felt for your embellishment. Just cut shapes and hand-stitch and you’ll have an interesting 3D effect.
And I still have felted sleeves for gloves…
As you see we have had a lot of snow (a lot for my country, at least) and local authorities made schools close. So, a “surprise” long week-end to sew, and make warm things!
Second-hand cachemire mix jumper, old mom's angora knit, old hubby grey cardigan (ready for the bin)

Tangerine looks perfect on you. I hope you can stay warm in the cold weather you are having.
