I didn’t make most of this dress – my 10 year old daughter did! I just helped. It was inspired after she bought a bright orange handbag and announced that she needed a dress to go with it!
The Pattern is self drafted – basically a simple bodice with a cap sleeve. the skirt is 3x the waist to allow for creating the soft pleats.
There’s more details about the making of this dress over on my blog http://ragbagsandgladrags.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/tangerine-dreams-or-how-my-daughter.html
Dress up outerwear with deep shawl collars and sew up a lovely fitted dress with a flounced hemline.
