Wellington, New ...
Well, Autumn has finally hit us here so this is the last summer frock I will be making for a while! I wasn’t sure about orange + my pale complexion but I ended up getting compliments (very unusually!) from some of the guys in my computer science paper, so I figure it must be ok.
I used a vintage pattern that had a relatively wide shirt-style collar, but I didn’t like the way it turned out and cut it down to a circular neckline. Probably a good thing in the end as there is quite a lot going on in the pattern of the fabric – I don’t think I needed too many competing design elements.
Printed cotton, coral buttons from my stash
