I started making this coat at the first sign of cold back in October. Then it was left hanging on the dress form for a few weeks until I returned to it this week and finished it.
I used the double-breasted version of Talea, changing the shape of the pockets and the length. I also lined the entire coat, not just the sleeves. That proved to be tricky and it took a lot of time to do it properly, but I love how now the coat simply slips on (I used a very smooth fabric for the lining).
It fits perfectly and the wool blend is super warm for winter. The only thing I’m not entirely satisfied with is the color of the fabric. I wanted to find a different hue, but couldn’t get it.
I used size 38 that I usually wear and I can still wear it in my sixth month of pregnancy. I’m sure it’ll fit for several more weeks, maybe even till the very end.

Thank you. I’m usually too hasty when doing things, but this time I wanted to take my time making this coat. It was worth it.
