Talea winter coat in caramel-coloured wool!
I made bound buttonholes, flap pockets and a lining – all firsts for me! I left the embellishments on and reduced the size of the collar, as it was a bit dumbo-eared. The buttons were more expensive than the fabric, can you believe it!?
My sister is wearing it in the photos… she was a little bit jealous and I had to prize it off her!
Caramel wool outer, brown brushed cotton lining, wooden buttons.
Burda for the pattern!

Looks like a neatly done job. I like this pattern and love the fabric you used. But, could you please post a picture that shows the whole coat?

I am so jealous of your coat as well! Now I want a home-sewn coat! Beautiful work, by the way :O) No wonder your sister wanted to keep it!

The coat looks absolutely great! Looks like it was really difficult to do. And I’m always looking for nice buttons, but sometimes, if you count how many you need, they get really more expensive than the fabric ;)

I’m always impressed when people make coats! It must be so difficult. Great work!
