My dress of summer 2009.
I had this dress from scraps in the school cupboard spending £4 on a feature zip that I loved.
I altered a basic dress block pattern to my exact measurements in a mock up so it fit like a glove.
Top – Light grey single knit jersey
Bottom – Floral upholstery fabric (i think it was originally curtains)
Lining – used white polycotton for the back lining but ran out so used a lilac/white check polycotton for the front
