Description
I wanted to make a couple of wrap dresses and looked on here as i have way to many burda mags to go through lol. I found this one and then traced it from my magazine. Its a really nice pattern. I made the pink one first and found it was a tad low so i raised the front bodice panal on the floral one. a cleverly placed pin saved my blushes when i wore the pink one. Having a dress with sexy on it was enough i think lol. I was going to add sleeves but i’m optimisic we’ll get a summer?? lol
i added a photo of some of my new patterns. i saw the kisses version of the ruffle front dress so i had to have it and also one of my stash. this is’nt even half of the fabric i have lol, still i managed to sort it into plain and patterned fabric x

thanks for the lovely comment but i’m far from an expert. i love this burda site though as i learn so much from other sewers and i get great tips and techniques as well.i could always sew but i mainly made curtains quilt covers and cushions. i made the odd dress but never anything difficult. this site has pushed me to make dresses tops baby clothes trousers jumpsuits skirts etc and i’m now going to tackle undies, pants first x

hi. i wish i was on holiday but sadly no, my home town in northern ireland is built round a castle and theres plenty of it still standing. the grounds are gorgeous and theres a fab walkway that takes you down to lough neigh which is very pretty with swans boats etc. i just need good weather lol x
Apr 24, 2013, 09.04 AMby The Tropical Sewist
aw, that sounds completely lovely. I’ve never seen a real proper castle before, only read about them in storybooks. The asian palaces look totally different. To live near the grounds of one sounds awfully romantic!
Apr 24, 2013, 09.27 AMby Mary Athey
i’ll get lots of photos taken so you can see the lovely grounds and the castle walls. i’m going to take a few dresses and get some photos taken. like a mini photo shoot lol x

yeah, I know what you mean about dresses. On the german burda website you see a lot of different variations of one particular pants pattern and I keep telling myself I must try this but always end up with a dress instead :-)

thanks kisses, the purple floral fabric is lovely. i made tops out of the leftover fabric. I can’t wait to try out these patterns. that vintage ones fab is’nt it. Its petite though so i’ll have to adjust it. The pattern for these dresses though was plus size and i adjusted that x
