Takayama obi skirt

Added Mar 25, 2012

by Heleen de Haan

Utrecht, Netherl...

This is nr. 4 of my travel project. In Takayama, a beautiful mountain village in Japan I bought a small piece of traditional hand embroidered fabric in a store that had been in that family for more than 200 years.
I immediately thought about making the obi apron and putting the little piece in the broad band.
I added some fabric so I can wear it as a skirt.
Love it!
