What can I say I’ve always wanted a tail coat, was inspired on circus party and decided to give it a shot.
Pattern: BUTTERICK 3648 (with some minor alterations)
Red Twill (it was the only thing they has in the shop at the time, I don't even know what twill means) _Prototype_ is made out of recycled bed sheet.

great jackets! btw twill is the weave type (you should notice a bit of a diagonal effect in the weave)

Klasse! Looking at the prototyp, I recognize how effective the fabric choice is all the more.

That would be really awesome to make an alteration for a Mad Hatter Costume! Love it!

Great Job! You have a fantastic imagination! I would only change a few things about the pattern you altered – I’d fit the jacket a little closer to the torso, take the length of the jacket bit to the waist (emphasizes that spiffy masculine waist), then make certain the cuffs are proportional.
Of course, I’d also be looking for places and times to wear this other than as a costume.
(hmm. wonder how Darling Adorable would look in tails?) ;)

This is so great! I love this idea…if you did it in dark velvet without the applets it would work very well for a rock star ;).
