I made this coat in my tailoring class last semester using a McCalls pattern (I think). I enlarged the collar. We had to include welt pockets and bound button holes. The interior is complete with hair canvas and pad stitching. It was a wonderful learning experience, but not without it’s frustrations.
I love the fabrics- wool tweed and a thicker silk/cotton blend lining. I chose to make self-covered buttons for a vintage look.
