Whipped this up in no time at all!
Simply made the waistband and skirt a little wider to accomodate making a skirt as opposed to an apron. Waistband is slightly smaller (about 8 inches) than the actually waist of the skirt to allow the skirt to be put on without the use of a zip and I simply hemmed that which is not attached to the waistband. (I hope that makes sense).
Thanks Prudence Rabbit for the Obi Apron pattern.

I love it! I am actually planning to make one. I was wondering how many yards will I need to get?

Hmmm I guess it’s all about measuring.
Make the waistband longer so that it fits almost all the way round your waist – you want a small gap so that you can get in and out of it.
Make the skirt wider (I added an extra 20 inches!) so that it comfortably fits around your hips.
And finally make the skirt to a length you like.
I did a lot of measuring my body and comparing it to the material before I cut.
Am thinking of making another but with pockets…
