I found that tablecloth at my favorite second hand shop on St Laurent street and I couldn’t resist its washed out orange color and white print. I made a simple t-shirt out of it using an old McCalls pattern (found in the same second hand shop for 25cts)
It has a little 90’s vibe to it but it is ok.
The fabric was not wide enough for the pattern so I just attached two pieces of fabric together leaving one overlapping the other. Unfortunately they are not the same color, it is less obvious in real life than in the pictures so that is ok too.

looks very nice. if something doesn’t go according to plan, i always call it ‘a feature’. the different shades actually make the blouse more interesting.

Love this top, what good use of a tablecloth! Just found the pattern in my size, for anyone wondering 5422 easy McCalls. I am exited to use it!

It looks so cute on you, what darling fabric! I thought the different shades was intentional—it doesn’t look bad at all!

Why did I never think of that before: making a shirt from a table-cloth. It really is such a simple idea, but such a great idea. This look really cute. Good job :)
